by Serrin

...from the deepest echoes of the outer temporal limits a sibilant reverberation begins to build slowly until it reaches a crescendo of vibrations not unlike a horrified scream emanating from the darkest depths of a black hole. It's a signal indicating the APDH have successfully breached this region of the subPrime dominion. They have sent an armada of territorial scouting ships to scour the branes of the Triverse, sending shockwaves ahead of them we can pick up on our infrared scanners. Here at the Hogloth home base, Serrin has been monitoring the skies for just such a signal as this. But the power and magnitude of the signature goes beyond anything he possibly expected. It's as if the shockwaves affect the human mind, causing bizarre anthropomorphic hallucinations of fear and death. The only trouble seems to be a series of encoded hieroglyphs appearing on Serrin's monitor screen, causing him to wonder if this might not come from the Ancient Prime Dominion, possibly the dastardly work of the Egyptian Cursed Queen.
To make matters worse, there's a strange pattern of glitches coming through the encoded message, which appears to be all scrambled up on Serrin's computer monitor screen. Could this be the work of Dr. Hackoturity? Serrin's frantic at the keyboard, running some algorithms through to try and capture a more coherent pattern to work with. There's no telling which subsector of the subPrime dominion this may be coming from, but deep in his bones Serrin feels it must be the Alien Pharaoh Demon Hollows. There's a sinister, skull-like appearance to the reverberations that seems to whisper and echo deep in his bones. He'll have to warn the others immediately.

"Level Black Alert! Level Black Alert!" the automated AI messaging system goes off, alerting the compound of the eminent breach detected by Serrin's outer temporal monitoring devices. Blue and red alternating lights begin flashing at key perimeter points. This is a secondary security breach announcement, with the urgency required to bring the matter to everyone's attention, but still a couple of levels below an all out emergency attack prep routine protocol. Word swiftly spread throughout the Hogloth kingdom, and a council has been called to meet in one hour. Despite this being only a preliminary preparation meeting, all members don their respective armor and protective gear and weaponry, just in case. You never know when you might get caught off guard.
